Sriwijaya Festival

The main goal of this festival is to increase the appreciation of the locals to their own culture. One of the annual events in Palembang, this festival includes traditional and contemporary cultural performances, speed boat races, boat decorating contests, and exhibition of old Sriwijaya (the ancient kingdom in Palembang) boat and other entertainments.
